Description

Nashville is fortunate to have a plentiful supply of water from the Cumberland River, but ensuring clean water from the river not only requires hard work and constant vigilance but calls for proper handling and treatment of wastewater from homes and industries.

The Central Waste Water Treatment Plant was built just north of downtown and began operation in 1958.
